C.A.R.S

Postby bleco on 19.07.2011, 13:42

Hi,

This is interresting ...

http://www.virtualr.net/category/c-a-r-s/

Might be ending with some good physics ... and visuals from the few shots are stunning ...

I will certainly provide a little contribution to try it ...

Sounds great. Let´s see what they accomblish at the the end of the day:

C.A.R.S will be used the stripped-down Shift 2 Unleashed engine as starting point, as the team will be adding new modules to it during the course of the development process, including a new DirectX 11 renderer, a new physics engine and new AI.

I am currently downloading the first build ...

I don't see why they would not provide a plugin to use with X-Sim ... I already asked the question on their forum ...

Looking forward to test it!

*** EDIT ***:
Finally tried the first build ... And it feels very good already! Took some time to adjust the wheel settings and graphics but I am very pleased with the results with this very early stage build... ;-)

Guys,

This sim is really looking good and the immersion even without motion is incredible. I spent some time on it yesterday and right after I switched to iRacing with motion to compare and it was so boring! If you tried it and you would be interrested in a motion plugin for x-sim PLEASE show your interrest by replying to this topic!

Thx!

Hey Bleco, that would be great! To supply a plug in for this game.

How about also a working version of yoda so we can find our own data in games! That would be nice as well! As the yoda in the current releases of x-sim DO NOT WORK!!!!!

I am on board for this one. It might be alternative to iRacing for me if they will use some production/race cars from second Shift.

Yes, x-sim plug-in and support for triple screen will make it real alternative to iracing

yes you can race offline but you still need to authenticate when launching the game ... They just released their new weekly build, currently testing it. It is available to everyone this time just sign as a free member and you will be able to download it. It's a work in progress and many cool features are still to come soon like 4 new laser scanned tracks

They added some basic AI up to 15 opponents, and a cool new fictionnal test track with speed oval, skidpad, dragstrip, hillclimb-course ... plus various fixes.

I see a lot of potential in this project, it was already amazing in the first built!

Just tell me how could I help to be able to use it on my simulator with a working plugin!!
