RPM is in the input section blue.
However there was a wrong sized value in it.
I have corrected this and inserted a test vertical force.

Thanks for the plugin !

I have installed X-Sim 2.1.0.12 beta and was working on a new profile for Dirt2 today, but I have problems with getting lateral movements - regardless of which values I'm editing in the Math table... The same with the longitudinal forces - it's very difficult to set up smooth effects... pitch is working properly. I use the Dirt2 plugin V2.

Even with a half-baked profile - Dirt2 with motion is great  !
regards,
Chris

Just posted a basic startup profile for extradata =1 mode:
2-0-8-8-dirt2-profile-extradata-1-t2261.html

BTW, I have noticed that the game is crashing after 6-10 races with this Extradata=1 config. It seems that an overload happens somewhere...

Cheers,

I don't think that the crash is X-Sim specific. I've been told that similar crashes are occuring with Frex. If I had to guess, we'll probably see some patches from Codemasters in the months to come.

Did anyone find a way to circumvent all of the "menuing preamble" and launch directly to a race?

Never said that...
I believe the instability in my machine started after the extradata=1...

I tried this with the Steam version on Vista 32-bit. It doesn't seem to work.

I used the following line in my C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\dirt 2\system\hardware_settings_config.xml:
<motion enabled="true" ip="127.0.0.1" port="20777" delay="1" extradata="1" />

I used the plugin and exe from the second page of this post. The outsimdirt2 exe shows all 0 and no game outputs of any type.

Anyone know how to get this working with Steam? Steam automatically delivers updates. Is it possaible that the Steam version has been patched?

The Steam version problem seems to be solved. I have more testing to do, but it look s promising.

The trick is that if you are using the Steam version, there are two different configuration files. One is C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\dirt 2\system\hardware_settings_config.xml, the other is My Documents\My Games\dirt 2\hardware_settings_config.xml. The correct copy to modify is My Documents\My Games\dirt 2\hardware_settings_config.xml.

The correct line is : <motion enabled="true" ip="127.0.0.1" port="20777" delay="1" extradata="1" />

Tip:
-If you have stability issues, try delay="2"
