High Torque Stepper Motor

Postby king1hw on 01.07.2012, 00:00

I have an 8 wire High Torque step motor with 1200 oz-in and a sabertooth 2X12A motor controller. Can I use the sabertooth with this motor when I have to get it down to 2 wire ports and having 8 wires. The motor is a Bi-Polar(series) is what I was looking to use.

This will be turning a table with 8 hundred pounds, is this enough or do I need a stronger motor even if the weight is balanced at CofG.

Any help would be great I am just using a poteniometer to test directions.
