by leedfood we have this problem to.we have only tweak in the scn5 plugin.
you mast use the slider for acculation a liddel left and right and than is the old
overwrite .test with 500-600 please wen you have lower is a problem for nice curbs.
tweak the value 22 in the end of the profil from 30% to 20%.is wars to match.
wen you drive high hills you make the value 35 a littel lower.
but the drift is many better now

Can you please submit this as a bug?

This is a major problem for X-Sim 2.1.0.4 that I am unable to reproduce. I am not able to make a profile that has these problems with 2.1.0.4. Are you usining 2.1.0.4 when you created it, or did you edit it in notepad or some oither beta version of X-Sim?

I don't believe that this is something specific to 2.1.04. I have had this issue with Nima's profiles even when using 2.1.03. My only solution is to copy the math values to a profile that already has working synaptrix data.

Perhaps there was an issue with a template or a file that Nima used at some point and he is reusing that file by just clearing the values from the math table when he creates new profiles (just speculation).

Hi Niels, Mike and Bernard,

as discussed this afternoon on the phone, Niels, I'd like to give Mike's profile a try, because my sim is similar to Mikes sim.
Mike is using SCN5 150mm, I'm using 100mm - do I have to change some of the values ?

My game PC is running on Vista64 and the X-Sim control PC is running on XP Pro SP3. The only problem was that the profiles stopped every now and then during a race. Then I only had to push the Start button and the motion kept on working... Maybe my GData security suite on the Game PC is the reason.
Could you please forward the latest version of your rFactor profile to me ? I'd like to test it by myself and give you some feedback...

At the moment I'm trying different interface settings for acceleration and speed of the SCN5 - I think, I will start with max speed and low acc (@ 800), as Niels told me on the phone...

My preferred track is the Nordschleife - which one is your preferred track to create and evaluate profiles, guys ?
You all drive the Megane 1.8 or 2.0 ?

Thanks in advance...
Chris

P.S.: I'm also driving GTR Evo at the moment (more than rFactor) - does anyone have a new version of a GTR Evo profile ? I'm running Nima's latest Evo profile which has been published here in the profiles section of the board...
regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Here is a copy of the profile that Nima and I have been working on. I have set a speed of 22500 and acceleration of 400 in the Synaptrix values so these values will be loaded automatically each time you start the profile. You can increase or decrease by changing the Synaptrix values in the Output menu.

I will give a breakdown of each value later on as it is now 1:45am and I have to get to bed :)

This profile has a lot of bump, curb and vertical effects and may be too much for some if you don't have any dampening on your actuators. The simplest way to reduce the overall bump and curb effects is to reduce the acceleration value of the SCN5. You can also reduce effect 26(vertical effect) to reduce road bumps.

This profile was created using Megane 2.0 at Nordschleife, Essington and Mid Ohio. You must use the appropriate profile based on the configuration of your game. If you are configured to use Metric values (KM), use the file labeled Kilometers and the on labeled Miles if your games is configured to use miles. Effect 22 within the profile is used to determine the current speed of the vehicle so that we can separate high speed and low speed effects and each profile has a different value to compensate for Miles vs KM.

Berney, please test as well and let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

...Mike

Hey Berney,

It seems that we do indeed have a bug in the synaptrix. I have submitted a bug report in another thread to Sirnoname.

2) Effect 25 – Lateral force ( High speed) – Is multiplied by effect 22 as well to provide additional lateral force when cornering at higher speeds. The value for this effect is very subtle as it is also added to the other effect 25 which is lower in the math table. Increase this maximum value if you want more lateral movement during a high speed corner or during a drift at high speed. Be careful not to increase it too much as this value as well as the other effect 25 and 32 values will be added together to produce maximum cornering and drifting effects.

Have to ask.... how do you multiplie? i took a look at the profiles and mentioned that effect 25 has almost the same values but one time 1 percent and one time 100 percent, so you mean by multiplied just adding the same effect but with different percent and values for slow/high speed ? i am confused...
