New Forum Catagories

Postby CXCSimulations on 22.06.2010, 17:09

I love the new game specific categories. That should make things much easier to find.

May I make a few requests?:

Move all of the historical profiles from the different sections of the forum to these game specific folders.
Change "GTR2" to "GTR, GTR2, GTL"
Change "GTR Evolution, Race 07" to "GTR Evolution, Race 07, Race On, STCC"
Add "rFactor and Gmotor2 Games (ARCA, Turismo Carretera, Top Race, TC 2000, Superleague Formula 2009)"

I'll start posting profiles in those sections now that we have another X-Sim based simulator again :)

Not bad the idea, but profiles should be in a game specific subfolder of them, so we could delete the main profiler config files forum we use currently.

I am not sure if that´s the right way, but that should make it easier to find the plugins and tutorials you are looking for.

I´ll do it when i am home later ...

Yes, this would be helpful. Unfortunately, I don't think there are many useful profiles in the forums currently. Many of them are outdated. I will try to assembled profile packs by game in the near future. It seems that not many people are posting their profiles. I know there are more people using X-Sim than the 5 or 6 of us that are posting profiles!

Just because Nima, Mike & I give each other a hard time about profile theories, doesn't mean we'll give you a hard time ;D so please post even if you don't think it's perfect.

I move the old content to the new categories asap. Please use the report button in the right corner of every post - the exclamation mark - and report all the posts that should be moved into the new categories.

That helps me a lot to find the right ones.

I would suggest combining "rFactor" and "ARCA, Turismo Carretera, Top Race, TC 2000, Superleague Formula 2009" as they use exactly the same X-Sim plugin and profiles. It might confuse new people to see them separate.

I could do that.

But i think rFactor is the most popular software and should be discussed separately. Reason for the new categories is not only a better overview of profile downloads but also a place where game relevant settings can be discussed. When you say, rFcator, ARCA, TOP Race etc. are the same games with only difference in appearance we can merge the categories. (i never played them)
