what is the last version available?

Postby AldoZ on 27.04.2011, 12:26

Hi, what is the last version of X-SIM??..

I have the "X-Sim version 2.1.0.3" but I see that there is the "X-Sim 2.0.8.9 and 2.1.0.13 stable *Update 22-02-2010* "

I would to have the white edition but I see that this version is older than the "X-Sim version 2.1.0.3"!.. right?

So for the offline use of X-SIM, what is the latest version?

2.0.8.9 is the same as 2.1.0.3 as far as what is "under the hood". IMHO, 2.0.8.9 (offline version) is far more stable.

mm thanx bvillersjr,
you say the 2.0.8.9 version is more stable than 2.1.0.3 but so you say that a older version is more stable than the newest??

No, the version numbers are no it sync for some reason. 2.0.8.9 is the same as 2.1.0.3.

2.1.0.3 simply adds some online features that were not stable in many cases. Most users here have 2.0.8.9.

hmmm I think you are wrong ...

2.0.8.9 is the same as 2.1.0.13b without the online features...

2.1.0.3 is a much older release according to the change log...

The online and offline version numbers are not in sync. Otherwise they are the same except for the online vs. offline features.

It is not possible to download the non "b" version akaik, so I didnt' muddy the water any further. If you want to be technical about it, 2.0.8.9b = 2.1.0.3b - online features that cause instability.

The post calls them without the b, but the download link includes the b. In any case, what's important is that you don't get the 2.1.0.3 version b or no b :)

What's different in the change log: x-sim-2-0-8-9-and-2-1-0-13-stable-update-22-02-2010-t2149.html

That's correct. I keep saying 2.1.0.3 when I mean 2.1.0.13

That said, of the two version that you can download, 2.0.8.9 (also referred to as 2.0.8.9b) is the best choice.
