Thank you Simon. Yes I will. I have to do some serious work within the next 24 hours. After that... I will try to make a decent video.

Hello all,

I´m building a 6DOF plataform using phidgets servo board with C++ Buider. I already read all vaiables from xplane and FS. Someone here could send me the source code from software developed by ROBIN on this forum. Its called 6dofmaster.
I will try to do another possibility for user with other board.

Thanks

Hello Marcelo,

I got your email. I am no C++ expert. There is a person in this forum called Tronicgr, probably you can see if he is free. He helped me with many of my problems. Here is the link to Robin's source code:

I am currently pursuing other things and not working on this project anymore. Email me like before for communication as I may not visit this site. I hope you can complete your project.

Best of luck :)

Hello all,

Just if anyone is interested to know where i made the joints in my overall system, I am posting this diagram:

Simulator forum image

Description:

1. A plugin extracts gaming data from X-Plane and makes it available for Force-Sender.
2. Force-Sender grabs the data and pushes it over the network to another computer which is running Force profiler.
3. Force profiler is set up with 6 axis representing 6 parameters ( roll pitch yaw surge sway heave).
4. Control software (modified version of 6dofmaster) reads from force profiler's memory, uses those 6 parameters to perform kinematics and gives us 6 output values for the 6 actuators. These values are in 8 bit binary. They are sent over the serial port(usb) to Arduino microcontroller.

Credits:
1. Creators of X-Simulator software.
2. Creator of the X-plane plugin (Andrew Lancen)
3. Creators of 6dofmaster (Robin Larabi and Arnaud Bobot )

I must inform all that I am no longer working on this.

What a pity that we won´t see your platform moving.
I assume softwareproblems are the main problems for stopping the project?

I am curious if you ever tried out the 70$ software of http://bffsimulation.com?

Hi MSK,

Thanks very much for your help. I will keep you informed ,as also here in the forum , my evolution on this project.
As Raceray said, I will look on the BFF software. I already have read it, but I need some more time to get more information.

Once again, Thanks a lot.

Hello Raceray,

Well, I can't guarantee anything, but I will try to get videos of the platform in action once the new guys tune up the system and complete it.

The software was a big issue, I tested with bff software. But I was looking for our own software. If you look at the system layout that I posted earlier, its just the kind of work you would expect from a noob...lol. I am no programmer so this was the way I worked it out. Too many links...lol.

Hello jma747,

You can try out BFF software. Its good. However, if like me , you want a customized software, you can check out Robin's source code.
