I've been looking around for second hand wiper motors, but there are so damn many different types :X

Does anyone have any hints or tips regarding what type to use / look for?

um, how about cheap and from a medium to large passenger vehicle.

That easy? Thought they had to be "worm wheel" type and must lock when unpowered?

The h-bridge will hold them in place when its powered and they are not suppose to move.
Sure a worm wheel may be better, but it's not a must.
