Force-Profiler settings

The Profiler serves as a control software for any pneumatic Simulator that uses this hardware. It serves as a server to swap out the simulator control to another pc to save system ressources on the gaming pc.

If a dual-core processor is used, the game calculations and the simulator control can be separated.

If the Force-Profiler, Force-Sender and Yoda are used on the same pc, you have to enter the IP 127.0.0.1 in the Force-Sender.

 Overview:

1. Here are the Yoda and Plug-in values displayed. Connected Force-Sender preconditioned.

2. Here you can add effects that you want to be used with your simulator by clicking the right mouse button. Available are g-effects, collision effects, afterburner effects and effects by pressing joystick-buttons or gear changes.

3. Here is the joystick-matrix located. Corresponding to the joytick movements, the simulator movement directions can be assigned. The autofallback option can be set here as well. Underneath you can calibrate the joystick input sensitivity.

4. These options are not required if a game specific plug-in is available. Autofallback and wash-out faders. If autofallback is activated in (3), the fallback time and speed can be adjusted here. The fallback is useful, if e.g. the throttle pedal is pressed. Normally the simulator goes into UP position and rests there as long the throttle pedal is pressed. With autofallback the simulator retuns slowly into center-position with the presetted speed and can be moved again by pressing the throttle once again.

5.Here you can calibrate the center-position of the simulator. Generally the fader has to be in middle position and you have to calibrate the simulator by adjusting the controller-rods between the pots and the cylinders manually. "Fahre Stuhl" starts a test run. If the faders are not in middle position, the percentage underneath has to be reduced, in order to avoid the simulator tries to move over the end-positions and freezes. If the chair freezes, you have to reduce the value here. Recommended are 50-70% for testing. Then you have to set the values in little steps higher up to your desired amplitude. Sometimes, like for racing-sims, a less high amplitude, e.g. 70%, can increase the immersion. But you have to try it by yourself.

6. Start button and Autostart-Trigger. After pressing the start button the processing of all incommig signals and the simulator moves. If the Autostart-Trigger ia activated, the application only moves the simulator, if a race is running. In pause-mode the simulator wil not move.Im oberen grünen Bereich wird noch die IP Adresse des Force-Sender Rechners angezeigt und ob eine Verbindung besteht.

7. Here are the pots values of the simulator displayed. They can be used as used to check if the hardware is assemled well. If an axis is missed here, check the channel-bridges on the interface (just RnR interfaces). As well you can place a picture of your simulator here (BMP max. 199x175 pixels).

8. Graphical display of current simulator position and target value position. Red is current position, blue is target position and green is the centerposition of the simulator. With the right mouse buttonn the display axis can be inverted and the update speed of the display can be setted. If you want to invert the simulator axis, you have to do this in (2).
